Last night, in an exclusive interview watched from all around the world, Lance Armstrong gave a full confession to cheating.
Oprah Winfrey opened the interview dramatically with six “Yes” or “No” questions.
Lance replied:
“Yes” to having used banned substances
“Yes” to having used EPO
“Yes” to having blood transfusions
“Yes” to having used testosterone
And “Yes” to cheating in all seven Tour de France wins
When Oprah asked him could he have won the Tour in that era without using performance enhancing substances.
Lance apologised the first time after seven minutes and only apologised three more times in the the 90 minutes.
Armstrong was described afterwards as “unemotional”.
He described his career as a “mythic perfect story” and admitted his confession was probably “too late” for most people adding that it was “his fault”. It was “one big lie I repeated a lot of times,” he said.

Oprah asked him was he just being his "usual cocky self" when he tweeted this photo.
Armstrong said his career was built on a cocktail of EPO, testosterone and blood transfusions.
“This story is so bad, so toxic.”
Oprah decided to divide the interview between two nights as she described the interview as “having too much content” for only one night.
Knowing Oprah, she’s left some juicy bits for tonight…
