You’ll be shocked by the amount of calories in Domino’s garlic dip

Cathy Donohue

When ordering a Domino’s Meal Deal, it’s standard practice to ask for extra garlic dip because that stuff is a delicious dipping partner for our leftover crusts.

You’ll understand then why people are freaking out about the calories in a 100g ‘Big Dip’ pot, 675 to be precise.

Now, we never said this stuff was healthy or that you should consume it on a regular basis, but we didn’t think the popular condiment was quite so calorific.

A spokesperson for the pizza company spoke to The Sun and explained that the single serving pots that usually come with deliveries are 169 calories each.

Abbey Everett cleared up the confusion surrounding the number of calories in each serving.

“Our Garlic & Herb Big Dip is great for sharing with family and friends, and we recommend each party size should serve at least four people. Single size pots are also available at 169 cals each.

“We’re committed to providing transparent nutritional information on our website and via our app, to enable customers to make informed decisions”.

However, Twitter users are bowled over by the information and have shared their incredulation on the social media site.

The Domino’s official account also responded to people sharing their surprise, noting that this is for their big tub which is designed to serve four.

Despite the news, we’re still big fans of the tasty dip but we might watch just how much we’re eating next time around…
