Classic Album Of The Week: Definitely Maybe From Oasis

Hands down our favourite brothers ever...

Her

There is no argument that Noel Gallagher is one of the greatest songwriters of our time and that brother Liam, is arguably the greatest frontman of any band, (please bring back Oasis, PLEASE) and so it comes as no surprise that their debut album is getting remastered.

Oasis’ Definitely Maybe will be twenty years old in August and it has been just over two weeks since the news broke that a reworked copy would be hitting the shelves to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Sadly the Gallagher brothers won’t be together to participate in the festivities but we’ll be sure to get the cigarettes and alcohol stocked for the occasion.

Liam has asked fans not to buy into the hype, but the reissue version that is due to be released in May, will feature rare and unreleased bonus tracks including unheard acoustic versions of Live Forever and Shakermaker recorded in Paris, an early demo of Half The World Away recorded in Noel Gallagher’s Tokyo hotel room, a demo of the rare song Strange Thing and a recording of Sad Song taken from a show at Manchester Academy… so basically what we’re trying to say is, we don’t care what Liam says, we’re getting it.

These are Definitely Maybe our three favourite songs from an album that will Live Forever.
