Hozier joined Mumford and Sons finishing Longitude with a bang

He wasn't the only special guest either.

Hozier helped to provide the perfect end to what seemed like the perfect weekend.

Monday won’t be an easy day for the thousands that headed along to Longitude at the weekend, but the memories of the last few days will help get them through what might be a long day at the office.

The venue was perfect, the weather – for the most part – was smashing and most importantly, the music more than lived up to expectations.

On Sunday night, Mumford and Sons rounded off Longitude 2017 and they did so with the help of a few friends, rather fittingly, while singing a song about getting help from their friends.

Hozier joined the band on stage to perform the Beatles classic (the cover, by Joe Cocker, was used as the theme tune for The Wonder Years), as did Jack Garratt, Jorja Smith, Kevin Garrett and Lucy Rose.

As can be seen in the footage by Paul Gibbons below, it made for quite a sight and the perfect end to a festival that nobody lucky enough to be there will forget in a hurry.

Roll on Longitude 2018.
