Olivia Rodrigo is coming to Dublin and Cork next year
This is gonna be huge.
Exciting news for fans of pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo, as the singer has just announced that she will be coming to Ireland next year.
The Good 4 U singer will be playing the Live at the Marquee festival in Cork on 29 June 2022, before hitting up Dublin's Fairview Park on 30 June. She'll be supported by the up-and-coming musician Baby Queen during the Irish dates.
Both concerts are part of Olivia's Sour Tour, and if, you're based in the UK, you'll have a few more chances to catch her as she's set to play dates in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and two nights in London.
Taking to her Instagram story, the former Disney star announced that she is "absolutely over the moon" to announce her Sour Tour.
She told fans: "I can't believe I get to see you all so soon, I'm so excited!"
Tickets for the Irish gigs go on sale this Friday at 9am, and are available via Ticketmaster.
It's been quite a year for Rodrigo, as the singer dominated charts with her songs Good 4 U, Driver's Licence, Déjà vu and Brutal.
If you noticed Olivia playing a big role in your Spotify Wrapped this year, then you're certainly not alone. Her album Sour was at the top of the campaign, while Driver's Licence was named the platform's top streamed song of 2021.
As well as that, she nabbed the New Artist of the Year Award at the American Music Awards and cleaned up at the 2022 Grammy nominations too.
The Brutal singer is nominated for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Music Video. With these nominations, she becomes the second youngest artist in the history of the Grammys to be nominated in every single 'Big Four' category in the same year.
Now that's what I call deserved.
