The misheard lyric in Ariana Grande’s new song ‘Thank u, next’ is hilarious

People think she’s dating someone new.

It’s the new banger that we can’t stop listening to. The track is amazing and the lyrics are brave in their honesty as Ariana thanks four of her most notable exes Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez, Mac Miller and Pete Davidson for everything they’ve taught her.

‘Thank u, next’ was released yesterday and the internet has gone bananas for it. In just 24 hours, the song has gone to number one in over 30 countries and has nabbed the top spot on iTunes worldwide.

Ariana took to Instagram to thank her fans and express her gratitude for their support. She also offered the exciting news that the video for ‘Breathin’ will be released this week. Yay!

Probably the funniest thing to emerge is the misheard lyric, which has got everyone thinking Ariana is dating someone new.

After thanking all of her exes, the second verse talks about loving someone else – herself:

“Plus, I met someone else
We havin’ better discussions
I know they say I move on too fast
But this one gon’ last
‘Cause her name is Ari
And I’m so good with that (So good with that)”

Instead of hearing ‘Ari’ some fans thought the singer says ‘Aubrey’ which led to rampant speculation about who the new squeeze is.
