BRB, just grabbing my crimper and uggs for this iconic trio's comeback.
Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado are back with a new song collaboration.
The new tune comes just a casual 16 years since the release of their hit song, Give It to Me, which came out in 2007.
Nelly Furtado took to Instagram to share the epic news, writing: “It’s here ⬆️?? 'Keep Going Up'! Now available everywhere @timbaland @justintimberlake."
Timbaland also posted to his Instagram with an announcement that read: “Let me be your DJ Labor Day Weekend?? ? SONG OUT NOW ? we finally here!”
The song is described as capturing the high of the positive energy a person feels when they finally find happiness after a personal struggle.
"My new life's much better than the old one," Furtado sings on the track. "Now I'm laughing, remember I was broken."
There's also a reference to Furtado and Timbaland's previous hit Promiscuous on the new track.
They took the line: “How you doing, young lady? That feeling that you giving really drives me crazy,” from the 2006 track, and open the new song with: “How you been young lady? Does the feeling still drive you crazy?”
Alongside the song release, the trio also put out a music video on Friday which showcases footage of Timbaland, Timberlake and Furtado in the recording studio.
So if you’re in the mood for a bit of nostalgia on this rainy Friday afternoon, here’s the new song:
