Why are we all so scared of nipples?
That’s the question posed by our new favourite band/community Go Girl and the incomparable BeeMickSee.
While spending some time together recently, they got to talking about “how silly it is that women’s nipples are seen as so ‘obscene’ and ‘scandalous’ to the media”, while male nipples are a perfectly acceptable sight at pretty much any time.
It is all a bit ridiculous, no?
So, the artists decided to join force and write a song in support of the Free The Nipple Campaign.
This one’s for any girl who appreciates her bosom for the wonder it is.
Cheylene Murphy tells us that Go Girl is how the project started, which is a club for creative women in Northern Ireland to support each other and collaborate. We like that. We like that a lot. You can find out more here.
