A man has been arrested this evening following a security alert at Leinster House.
While details of the incident have yet to be confirmed, it’s understood that the man attempted to enter the building shortly after 4.30pm while carrying a sword and concealing two knives in his socks. He was arrested before entering Leinster House and taken to Pearse Street Garda Station where he is currently being held.
