According to reports, a teenage boy has died after he was stabbed at Aberdeen secondary school, Cults Academy.
The teenager, who has been named as Bailey Gwynne, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he later passed away.
A police spokesperson said:"I can confirm that Police Scotland are in attendance following reports of a serious incident at Cults Academy.
"Police were called to the scene at 1.30pm and are still at the scene.
"Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing and officers will remain at the scene for the time being. Next of kin are aware".
