A 19-year-old man was killed in a single vehicle car crash in Co Longford in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened at approximately 2.15am when the car he was driving left the road and hit a barrier at Lisbrack in Newtownforbes.
The young man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was brought to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar.
There were no other cars involved in the crash.
