It’s understood that he had arrived in Majorca just hours before the incident.

An Irish tourist has died following a tragic accident which involved him plunging from an apartment block balcony in Magaluf, a resort town on the Spanish island of Majorca.

The 20-year-old is said to have arrived in Majorca on Saturday, just hours before local police believe he fell to his death.

His body was found around 11am on Sunday morning in the Eden Roc apartments.

This apartment block is the same one where Scottish teenager Natalie Cormack died in April after falling from a seventh-floor ledge.

According to local reports, the young man who was involved in the latest incident, who has not yet been named, was staying locally, but not in the Eden Roc complex.

The circumstances of the Irish man’s death are still being investigated.

Back in April of this year, 19-year-old Natalie Cormack from West Kilbride in North Ayrshire also fatally injured herself in a similar incident at Eden Roc.

Cormack realised she did not have her keys when she returned from work at a bar in the resort of Magaluf.

While attempting to gain access to her flat from her friend’s neighbouring one, she tripped and fell seven storeys down. The Guardia Civil in Palma confirmed her death the following morning.
