A 22 year old man has been charged with the murders of Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee which occurred in Sligo earlier this week.
Yousef Palani, who resides at Markievicz Heights in Sligo, was brought before the local district court this afternoon.
He is now charged with the two murders, 41 year old Aidan Moffitt on April 10 at Carton Heights, Sligo and 58 year old Michael Snee on April 12 at City View Apartments in Sligo.
Palani faces a third charge of assault causing serious harm from an incident that occurred on April 9 in Sligo, according to RTÉ.
He was brought from Sligo Garda Station to the courthouse in a garda van as a large number of people watched from outside.
The 22 year old was detained in the early hours of yesterday morning and was questioned by Gardaí as he was remanded in custody.
