3-year-old boy dead after farm accident in Wexford

Gardaí are investigating after a toddler died in an accident on a farm in Co. Wexford yesterday.

It happened at a farm yard in Carrigabruise, Carlerys Bridge close to Enniscorthy at around 4.30pm in the afternoon.

The three-year-old boy sustained serious injuries when he was knocked down by what is described as a low loader.

He was taken to Wexford General Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after.

Gardaí have said that their investigations are continuing.
