A massive good luck to all involved.
Over 30,000 people are expected to run in VHI’s Women’s Mini Marathon in Dublin today.
The thousands will run, jog, or walk the 10k bout at 2pm this afternoon, starting at Fitzwilliam Square and finishing on Baggot Street.
The marathon is the largest all-female event of its kind in the world, with the number of participants steadily growing since its beginning back in 1983.
The theme of 2019’s marathon is ‘Women With Impact’, as a reminder of all the strong and capable women in Ireland who have made a difference to one another’s lives over the past year.

Women’s Mini Marathon chief executive, Cathy Enderson, has called this year’s theme “lovely.”
“That’s because we have so many women taken part today who are having an impact in everybody’s lives through fundraising and also through fitness,” she said.
“This event is a huge event for women to support each other in all different ways.”
Ahead of the run, hundreds have already taken to social media to share their marathon preparations and to wish those taking part the best of luck.
