The death of a 35-year-old female private is not being treated as suspicious, according to a spokesperson for the Gardaí.
The woman has been named locally as Pte Debbie Forrester, according to the Irish Independent.
She was found dead in her room at the Army barracks on Tuesday, November 20. Ms Forrester was based at McKee military barracks at Blackhorse Avenue in Dublin.
The military authorities contacted the Gardaí after her body was found.
However, Sergeant Damian Hogan said that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
Gardaí have confirmed that the incident is being treated as a sudden death.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be made.
