Ireland’s homelessness crisis is worsening, and this latest tragedy is yet another symptom of the worsening situation.
The body of a 30-year-old homeless man was discovered by another homeless individual in St. Stephen’s Green park on Monday morning, April 25th.
The man has yet to be named, but upon contacting the Garda Press Office a spokesperson confirmed that the death was not suspicious and they are currently compiling a report for the coroner.
The incident is being described as a ‘sudden death’.
Last month The Simon Community released a powerful video based on the 1916 Proclamation, which featured a homeless man reciting the Proclamation while walking the streets of Dublin with a sleeping bag.
