There has been a shooting outside a Sheriff Street pub this afternoon.
A man has died after it is believed he was shot in the head, and the scene has been sealed off, RTÉ report.
There are reports of a man running towards the IFSC and Spencer Dock area from the scene of the crime.
Gardaí believe that the shooting is linked to the ongoing feud between rival criminal gangs the Hutches and the Kinihans.
A source has said it could be a case of mistaken identity.
