The cold snap isn’t letting up anytime soon.

Met Éireann has issued a new snow-ice warning, status orange, for Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

It’s expected that an Atlantic depression will cross Ireland tonight, with the warning in operation from 6 pm until 12 pm tomorrow.

The heavy snow will be followed by scattered snow showers tonight and into tomorrow morning.

Aside from the snow, there’s a new wind warning in operation for Munster, Connacht and Leinster

A number of counties will experience winds of 50 to 65km/h and gusts of 90 to 110km/h

Met Éireann also warns that there is an increased risk of coastal flooding ‘due to the combination of the high seas, strong winds and the low pressure’.

Take care out there.
