Take note if you’re near the south coast as a status yellow weather advisory for Cork and Kerry has been issued.
The weather advisory was issued at 12:00 on 24 April and it’s valid from Friday, 26 April at 18:00 until Saturday, 27 April at 06:00.
The update states that there’s “potential for stormy conditions for the southwest later on Friday and early Saturday”.
Regarding the national forecast for the coming days, Wednesday is set to be cloudy with showery outbreaks of rain spreading northwards over the country.

These showers are set to be heavy and persistent in places as the afternoon develops. There’s a risk of thunder too.
More southernly counties should experience drier and brighter conditions though.
Thursday will bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers but some of the showers will be heavy, prolonged and possibly thundery.
These adverse conditions should ease off by Thursday night with clear spells developing.
As for Friday, it’s set to be wet and windy with a chance rain of the rain turning heavy and there is a risk of very strong and gusty winds.
