A tour bus has crashed into the Luas in Dublin City centre

A Dublin City tour bus has crashed into the Luas this morning. The incident occurred near Smithfield on the Red Luas line. The emergency services were called to the scene and are now dealing with early reports suggesting five people have been hurt. Some images which were shared on Twitter of the crash appear to show the tour bus attempting to cross a junction where the Luas passes.

Luas shared an update on Twitter saying that the services are only running between Saggart, Tallaght and Blackhorse due to the incident. There are no services between The Point/Connolly and Blackhorse but Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus services for the duration.
