Over 50 Aer Lingus flights have been cancelled up until 11am on Saturday 3 March with 10,000 passengers being affected.
The extension of the Status Red warning in Dublin until Saturday morning will disrupt the airline's short haul schedule, with early flights being cancelled, while most operations will not commence until after 10am.
In a statement, Aer Lingus said:
"We expect flights to/from Cork, Belfast, Knock to operate as scheduled. This is subject to further updates. We await information on when Shannon is expected to become operational and we will update when this is confirmed."
The airline is advising all passengers to check the their individual flights before travelling tomorrow.

Elsewhere, Ryanair has cancelled a number of flights for Saturday morning from Dublin Airport.
The airline says all affected customers have been notified.
It will remain in close contact with the airports and the relevant authorities and recommends that customers check the status of their flight on the Ryanair website before making their way to the airport.
All scheduled Ryanair flights to and from Dublin, Cork, Kerry, Knock and Shannon airports on Friday, 2 March were cancelled and all affected customers were been notified of their options by email and text message.
