Peanut, a 2-year old mutt "whose wild white and brown hair, bulging eyes and protruding teeth belie his sweet, energetic personality."
The rescue dog, who suffered burns as a puppy, claimed the title during the 26th year of the World’s Ugliest Dog competition held in Petaluma, California.
The owner is delighted for Peanut, and is hoping his time in the spotlight will help highlight animal abuse and neglect.
But for now, we’re hoping Peanut is taking his adorably different self for a lap of victory.
