Will you be making a purchase?
Apple officially launched the first MacBook Pro in 18 months on Thursday and as is always the case with big Apple launches, there was much anticipation about what new features will be coming with their latest piece of kit.
The biggest development was in relation to the new keyboard, which comes with an integrated touchscreen strip that will replace the function keys at the top of the keyboard.
Called Touch Bar, it adapts to whatever software you happen to be using, so for example, if you’re using Spotify, you can use it to skip tracks in a playlist, if you’re on Safari you can use it to access shortcuts and if you’re typing, you can access emoji or quick type suggestions similar to the iPhone.

As had been anticipated, the standard USB ports have been dispensed with in favour of USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, of which there are four, while 13 inch models (with and without Touch Bar) and 15 inch models will be available.
Apart from that, the new models will be thinner, lighter and faster than their predecessors (you can see all the specs here) with prices ranging from €1,499 to €3,299 (further details on prices below).
