He has had a warrant for his arrest since 2016.
A man with a European arrest warrant for the human trafficking of adults and children was arrested in Dublin today.
The man, aged 55, was arrested on foot by the Garda Extradition Unit and Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation today, November 10.
His arrest warrant was issued by authorities in Romania in 2016.
Detective Superintendent Michael J. Mullen said: “This significant arrest coordinated by detectives attached to Organised and Serious Crime represents our ongoing commitment to ensuring persons wanted on foot of International arrest warrants are brought to justice.”
The man will appear before the Extradition High Court at 11am today.
