It would be fair to think that a large-scale prank is the kind of thing that would make Punk'd creator Ashton Kutcher proud.
Instead a 12 year old boy has been charged for making a prank call involving the actor, and the young offender now faces two felony counts of computer intrusion and making fake bomb threats.
The boy made the prank call in October to police claiming that there were armed men inside Kutcher’s home. The police dispatched a substantial amount of officers to the actors house and "Two and a Half Men" star was forced to leave work to check on his home and staff.
Unfortunately for the boy, neither the police force nor Ashton found the prank funny. The Beverly Hills Police department complained about the amount of resources that would go into such an operation and the teams that would have to be dispatched to deal with the call.
The child is set to be arraigned in Juvenile Court today and is also suspected of another hoax call involving an emergency situation with a bank in LA.
