Attention brides of 2017: You can now register at DOMINO’S

Katie Mythen-Lynch

Well here’s a gift idea that’s a million times more fun than a pair of Waterford Champagne flutes.

Domino’s have opened a Wedding Registry “for couples who prefer delicious melty cheese to crystal gravy boats”.

Yes, really. You can now let your wedding guests know that you and your betrothed are expecting nothing but a few decent nights in, slumped in front of the telly in a mozzarella stupor, as a gift.

After the monotonous year of gym sessions and low-carb diet that precedes the average wedding, this is a treat that most brides and grooms will treasure more than each other.

So how does it work?

Well, there are three token options to choose from, each one more appealing than the next. Just click on the one you want to receive and create your registry, allowing your nearest and dearest to check out your choices when they log in.

The Wedding Registry hasn’t been rolled out on this side of the Atlantic yet, but we have high hopes.

Even if the relationship doesn’t work out, the couple could split the balance on their pizza account – much more do-able than cutting that ornate vase in half and, as we all know, there is no love as strong and lasting as the love of pizza.
