How does your county fare?
New figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) have revealed that Dublin is the county with the highest and Donegal is the county with the lowest per capita disposable income in Ireland.
The figures, published by the CSO on Wednesday, came from data gathered in 2014 and reveal that, of the eight regional authority areas, the Dublin region had the highest average disposable income per person at €21,963, 14.5% higher than the State figure of €19,178.
At the other end of the scale, meanwhile, the border (€16,601) and midland (€17,035) regions fared worst among the eight regions, 13 and 11 per cent respectively below the State average.

As far as individual counties are concerned, Limerick (€20,395), Kildare (€19.385), Cork (€19,234) ranked high on the list, while Donegal was joined at the bottom of the list of counties with the lowest disposable income by Roscommon (€16,281), Monaghan (€16,395) and Offaly (€16, 460).
The CSO arrived at disposable income figures for all counties by adding social transfers to primary income and subtracting off income taxes and social insurance contributions.
