Avicii was being ‘pushed to the brink’ by his management before he died

This is all so tragic.

The 28-year-old Swedish DJ died a week ago.

And now, further detail about his untimely passing has been revealed.

Indeed, on Thursday Avicii’s loved ones have described him as “an over-achieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress”.

And many fans have over the last week been closely watching his documentary, Avicii: True Stories, which premiered just six months before his death.

That footage shows the Swedish star struggling to keep up with his hectic and demanding schedule – prompting many to observe that he just wasn’t being looked after properly.

“The management of Avicii didn’t do anything to help him,” one fan claimed on Twitter.

“They just let him do those gigs. Although he couldn’t do anymore. If they listened, maybe just maybe he was alive by now. So sad to see how he was pushed, and by now he isn’t among us.”

Another said: “Avicii was someone with so much talent, he gave the world so much beautiful music. the fact that he feared death, and his management STILL used him as if he was a machine sickens me.”

“What people don’t realise about Avicii is that he was basically worked to death,” somebody else stated. “His management should be held responsible for the stress that they have put him through, the fact someone has to take their own life to escape from something is wrong, this shouldn’t be allowed.”

The DJ’s cause of death has not yet been confirmed but police have said there is no ‘criminal suspicion’ surrounding his death.

Following the result of a post-mortem examination, an official report is expected over the coming days.

Earlier this week, the Bergling family shared the below statement:

“We would like to thank you for the support and the loving words about our son and brother. We are so grateful for everyone who loved Tim’s music and have precious memories of his songs.

“Thank you for all the initiatives taken to honor Tim, with public gatherings, church bells ringing out his music, tributes at Coachella and moments of silence around the world. We are grateful for the privacy during this difficult time. Our wish is that it continues that way.”
