In terms of bizarre stories that will live long in the memory, the recent visit of three Babestation models to the picturesque town of Westport, Mayo is definitely up there with the best of them.

To their credit, the three ladies – Alexa Brooke, Priya Young and Vicky Narni – did their very best to appease the locals that were left feeling “aggravated and annoyed” following a recent mix-up that saw telephone lines in Westport being bombarded by phone calls that were intended for adult chatlines in the United Kingdom.

The station has since changed its number to avoid any further confusion. A happy ending for everyone.
RTÉ Today journalist Colm Flynn had the most desirable difficult job in Ireland when he was asked to go and cover the press conference, and his interviews with the people of Mayo didn’t disappoint.
