We’re living for it.

If you’re planning on doing anything exciting this weekend, then you better whip out the sun cream because it’s going to be a scorcher.

According to Met Éireann, temperatures will rise for the Bank Holiday, with some reports suggesting temps will rise to a lovely 28 degrees.

Met.ie said: “High pressure is signalled to build over Ireland from the south towards the end of the week and into the coming weekend, leading to a return to more generally settled conditions.

“Daytime highs at this stage look likely to be in the low to mid-twenties.”

While Facebook page Carlow Weather reports there is the potential for a high of 28 degrees in parts of the country by the end of the weekend.

The weather is set to rise from Thursday, with the national forecaster saying that sunny conditions will develop in the east and southeast.

“Current indications suggest clearer sunnier conditions will develop in the east and southeast later in the day. A warm day with maximum temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees, generally, but a little cooler in the Atlantic coastal fringes.”

Until then, this week is set to be sunny with a little bit of rain: “A mix of bright or sunny spells and showers today. Some of the showers heavy in the west and north later this afternoon and evening, with perhaps a thundery burst here. A cool, fresh day, with maximum temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees, in mostly moderate southwesterly winds.”

We just can’t wait for the weekend.
