Bank of Ireland has confirmed that some of its customers are having difficulties accessing their accounts today.
The bank’s Twitter account was targeted with a string of messages from frustrated customers this morning, with many struggling to check their account details through online banking and the BOI smartphone app.
On attempting to enter their log-in details, users were informed that their PIN was incorrect as a result of a technical glitch.

BOI have said that their technical team is currently looking into the problem and apologised for delays experienced in accessing their phone service.
