A body discovered in a Croatian freezer could be that of a woman who went missing 18 yeas ago.

Jasmina Dominic disappeared from Zagreb in 2000 when she was a student. Her family reported her missing five years later.

A body was found in a freezer in a home in Mala Subotica, northern Croatia this week.

Local media, the daily Vecernji List, reports that a 45-year-old woman was arrested last night in connection with the incident.

Authorities believe that the body is “… that of a woman born in 1977 and whose disappearance was reported on August 16, 2005.”

A spokesperson for the police said that they suspected murder but that the autopsy results had yet to be received.

Dominic’s father said that his daughter told him she was travelling to work on a cruise ship. He also said that she told him she had plans to live in Paris.

Croatian authorities have yet to name the woman who was arrested, but local media have identified her as Dominic’s sister.
