A body has been found in the search for a missing woman in the Waterford mountains.
The 37 year old woman, who was a mountain runner and experienced hill walker, had been missing in the Comeragh Mountains since yesterday afternoon.
The Tipperary woman was reported missing after her phone contact was lost yesterday. She had been in contact with her family multiple times prior to this.
RTÉ News reports that Gardaí have confirmed that a body has been found. The scene is currently preserved.
The Waterford Airport coastguard helicopter, Gardaí, volunteers from the South East Mountain Rescue Association (SEMRA), and others were involved in the search since yesterday.
