She had been missing since late August.

A body has been found in the search for missing YouTuber Gabby Petito.

Crews searching a national park in Wyoming, US, where Gabby was last seen with her fiancé Brian Laundrie, made the discovery on Sunday.

Authorities confirmed the news last night.

“As every parent can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for her family,” FBI agent Charles Jones said.

“The cause of death has not been determined.”

Laundrie, who was a “person of interest” in the case has declined to speak to police thus far. He vanished from his Florida home over the weekend.

“The news about Gabby Petito is heartbreaking,” his family said via a statement. “The Laundrie family prays for Gabby and her family.”

Gabby and Brian embarked on a four month long cross country trip over the summer.

Their van was pulled over on August 12 after the pair had been fighting, with bodycam footage showing the 22-year-old crying as she spoke to police.

Police in Moab, Utah, responded to a call of a “domestic problem” when Brian and Gabby had “some sort of argument.”

Gabby last had contact with her family in late August in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Brian arrived home alone to Florida on September 1st.

On Thursday, Gabby’s parents released a letter to Brian’s parents asking them to cooperate with police.

Gabby’s father Joseph has paid tribute to his daughter on Twitter, saying: “She touched the world.”

Authorities have yet to confirm “100%” that the remains belong to Gabby, however they do match the description given to police.
