She was last seen a week ago.
Catherine Shaw, from Witney in Oxfordshire, was last seen on 4 March in the town of San Pedro where the was staying with a friend.
She was reported missing the following day, according to BBC News.
Authorities in Guatemala launched a search for her, and her body has now been found.
The 23-year-old's body was found yesterday (March 11) at the top of El Naudiz mountain.
The last sighting of her was at 5.30am, where she was seen carrying a puppy. It was thought she was going to watch the sunrise.
The puppy she had been carrying was found "shivering and crying" on a nearby hiking trail on Friday, March 8.
"Thank you to everyone who has helped in the search. Our thoughts are with Catherine's family, who we will continue to support as they need," said the Lucie Blackman Trust, who were helping Catherine's family search for her.
