Devastating.

A body suspected of being that of Laureline Garcia-Bertaux, a lifestyle blogger from France, has been found in a shallow grave in London.

Laureline was reported missing after she did not turn up for work on Monday.

Late last night, police located a body in a shallow grave in a garden in Darell Road, Kew.

A Met Police spokesman said:

“Although formal identification has not taken place, Laureline’s family have been informed of developments and are being supported by specially trained officers.”

“A forensic crime scene is in place. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course. There have been no arrests.”

“A murder investigation has been launched by Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command.”

Laureline was a line producer and PR and marketing executive for a film company, and also a lifestyle blogger.

In a missing person’s appeal issued by Scotland Yard yesterday, Ms Garcia-Bertaux’s disappearance was described as “out of character.”

Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.
