The body of a newborn baby has been found in a field in Manchester.
The infant's remains were discovered this morning at 7.10pm in Heywood, Rochdale.
The BBC reports that Greater Manchester Police discovered the infant after responding to a call that a body had been found.
They are appealing for anybody with information to come forward.
A search of the scene is ongoing.
