BREAKING: A man has been arrested after breaching Buckingham Palace security

A 41-year old man has been taken into police custody this morning following a breach in security at Buckingham Palace.

The BBC reports that the man was arrested after scaling a perimeter wall that surrounds the home of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

He was located seven minutes after an alarm was activated, according to Metropolitan Police.

According to The Mirror, the incident took place shortly after 8.30pm last night and the individual in question was unarmed.

“He was located in the grounds by officers and arrested on suspicion of trespassing on a protected site (contrary to section 128 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005) seven minutes after the alarm was activated.”
