Three female siblings were taken by ambulance to Crumlin Children’s Hospital, where all three were later pronounced deceased. The children’s mother, who was according to Gardaí not injured at the scene, is currently receiving medical treatment in Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

A male teenager was also taken from the scene to Tallaght Hospital with serious, but what is believed, at this time, to be non-life threatening injuries.

Following an intervention by Garda Armed Support Unit members, involving the discharge of “less than-lethal” devices, a male in his early 20s was arrested at the scene, and is currently being detained at Tallaght Garda Station.

No more information has been given at the present time, however, according to sources, everyone involved in the incident is believed to know each other, and at this time, Gardaí are not looking for anyone else in relation to the tragic event.
