As if Dua Lipa's life seemingly couldn't get more perfect, new details about how Dua and Callum Turner met have emerged, and it's literally out of a movie.
It's no secret that the Albanian-English singer is living the life, often posting enviable photo dumps to her Instagram, flaunting her jet set, sun-soaked, and star-studded lifestyle.
Often making an appearance on her socials is her (almost) equally as stunning fiancé, Callum Turner.
After publicly dating for a year, the pair soft launched their engagement as Dua started to wear a 'rock' on that finger in December 2024.
Shortly after, the couple made their MET Gala red-carpet debut, and the 'One Kiss' singer finally confirmed their engagement in June 2025, leaving fans obsessing ever since.
The internet is swooning over the couple once again now that Callum Turner has shared some heartwarming insights on how the pair first met when speaking to The Times.
The British actor revealed that the two actually had several opportunities to meet over the years, however, multiple 'sliding doors' moments prevented it from happening.
"We had maybe two, three, four, five near misses over our time where we didn’t meet," the actor shared.
"There’s one where she went to a party, and then I went to a party, but I arrived minutes after she left.
"I arrived at 2 in the morning and she left at 1.45, she checked her Uber and I checked a photo I’d taken opposite my friend’s house when I arrived.
The actor continued: "There were loads of things like that, and then, when we were both able to, we were both single and whatever, I just thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world."
When the two then finally did meet for drinks ahead of a mutual friend's birthday party, the connection was immediate with the moment seemingly coming straight out of a romcom.
At the time, Dua and Calum realised they were both up to the same part in the same book at the same time.
"We sat next to each other and realised we were reading the same book, which is crazy. It’s called Trust [by Hernán Díaz], and I had just finished the first chapter, and I told her, and she looked at me and said, 'I just finished the first chapter too.' I said, 'So we’re on the same page,'" he explained.
"In the movie version of it, I look up to the sky and I’m like, I hear you. I understand. The signs are loud, don’t worry. And that was really the first [moment]," Callum added.
It was this last part which has left the internet in awe over their relationship, hailing their first time meeting as a real-life movie meet-cute as well as praising Callum for his smooth one-liner.
One fan wrote on X: "'so we’re on the same page' this is straight out of a romcom, are you kidding me."
