This seems pretty harmless.
When it comes to being in politics, I’m sure there’s some level of decorum you have to employ.
We see politicians dress and act a certain way to try and impress and gain the confidence of voters but sometimes how some people in politics can divide opinion.
One Canadian MP Michelle Rempel is currently coming under fire because of her choice of words while in the heat of the debate.
According to the BBC, Michelle described the government’s disrespect of one area by saying they treat “Alberta like a fart in the room” when it comes to job creation.
Leader of the Green Party, Elizabeth May was disgusted by the four letter word, saying
“I heard her say a word I know is distinctly unparliamentary, and I think she may want to withdraw it…
“The word was f-a-r-t.”
Michelle, understandably incensed couldn’t believe what she was apparently being reprimanded for.
“Is my colleague actually serious?
“I just gave an impassioned speech about Alberta jobs, and that’s what the leader of a political party has to say? No, I don’t withdraw it.”
People took to Twitter to giggle at the seemingly innocuous row over the apparently offensive word.
Don't take is so hard Michelle #Rempel. FB #Scrabble once never let me use the word FARTY. https://t.co/hswa0sTMKK

Meanwhile in #Canada #Politics we argue whether the word #fart is parliamentary. O how we differ from the #US #TRUMP https://t.co/SV5A4sGeUp

She of podium f-bombs, @ElizabethMay, can't handle the "fart" word? Blanket ban on gas emissions, I guess? https://t.co/3FfpvGbCJo #cdnpoli
