Claudia Scanlon thanks Late Late Show viewers for generous €300k donations
"I cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity."
Claudia Scanlon has thanked the Irish nation for their generous donations during her Late Late Show appearance raised over €325,000 for the charity, Debra Ireland.
The 19 year old appeared on the show last Friday alongside Irish rugby star Johnny Sexton and brought many viewers to tears.
Sharing her experience with the skin blistering condition epidermolysis bullosa (EB), Claudia told Ryan Tubridy: "I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, it’s a living hell.
"I try and be as positive as possible because I have the right to live the life I was given. I don’t want to sit in a corner and cry about it, I’m here and I have a life to live."
This is INCREDIBLE.
You have raised €240,000 for @debraireland so far tonight.

Upon hearing about the money that was raised, Claudia said: "This fundraising means so much not only to me but to the whole EB community.
"This is a tremendous amount of money, and I cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity."
Viewers were left in tears following Claudia's inspiring interview.
