Actress Stacey Dash has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.
Dash (52) was arrested in Florida yesterday evening after an incident in which she pushed and slapped a man across the face, police have said.
The alleged assault took place following an argument with her husband Jeffrey Marty, a lawyer, at a property in Pasco County, Florida.
Police were called to the house at around 7:45pm in the evening. Marty was left with scratches on his arm following the incident, reports
NBC News.
A source told
TMZ today that Dash was acting in self-defence and was the one who had raised the alarm. The source claimed that Marty initiated an attack by attempting to choke her.

Dash is being held by police at a jail in Land O' Lakes, Florida.
The couple married in the spring of 2018 after knowing one another for ten days, Dash previously revealed.
She is best known for playing Dionne in 1995 teen comedy
