All schools in Munster and Leinster will close for the rest of the week as result of Storm Emma.
Up to 25cm of snow is expecting in many parts of the country so, as a result, the decision has been taken to close all schools in the affected regions until next Monday at the earliest.
Given disruption to transport & the safety risks arising, esp in relation to the ability to get home safely before blizzard like conditions hit Munster & Leinster, all schools, 3rd level institutions & centres of further ed in red areas will be closed tomorrow & Friday #StormEmma
