Conor McGregor arrested and charged with robbery and criminal damage in Miami
Conor McGregor was arrested in Miami last night after allegedly smashing a fan's phone.
Police say that McGregor was leaving the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel at around 5am on Monday morning when a fan tried to take a photo of him.
It's alleged that the MMA fighter took the fan's phone from them and "stomped on it several times".
He then picked up the phone and left with it, according to a police report.
Authorities identified him using CCTV footage and tracked him down at a house in Miami Beach.
He was arrested last night and charged with "strong-arm robbery" and "misdemeanour criminal mischief", reports RTÉ.

He was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami but was later released after paying a $12,500 bond.
McGregor is believed to be on holiday in Florida with his partner Dee Devlin, their two children and extended family to celebrate his mother Margaret's 60th birthday.
It comes less than a week after the Dublin native completed a period of community service in Brooklyn in New York.
He put in five days of manual labour at a number of churches in the Brooklyn area as part of a plea deal for throwing a metal hand cart at a bus in an incident last year.
The fighter is also understood to have taken part in a one-day anger management course.
