Controversial website Ask.fm, which has been blamed for facilitating cyber-bullying, is planning to move to Ireland.

Ask.fm was previously linked with the suicides of two teenage girls in Donegal and Leitrim, who took their own lives after being targeted through the site.

The social networking site allows users to ask questions and make comments anonymously and is popular with teenagers.

It was originally based in Latvia but reports today suggest that the company is moving to Ireland after being bought by Ask.com.

The site has been heavily criticised for its lack of safety controls but a spokesperson has said that it has introduced several new features and updated its policies to enable users to block anonymous questions.
