A female cyclist was on a training ride with a cycling club when she collided with a car.
According to The Irish Times, the incident happened between Clane and Maynooth in Co. Kildare.
It’s said the driver of the car was left unhurt while the woman was taken to Naas General Hospital for a post-mortem.
The scene of the collision on the road was sealed off and Gardaí are inquiring into the incident.
