“The day we take back from Cancer”

Today is Daffodil Day. The public has been asked to help support the Irish Cancer Society and all the incredible work it does by donating today.

Cancer takes so much from families. It takes time, it takes certainty, it takes a sense of security but you can help ensure that one-day cancer will take no more.

Lots of Irish businesses get behind Daffodil Day each year.

This year, we found a beautiful children’s brand named Babyboo which has decided that €1 from every daffodil baby bib sold will go directly to the Irish Cancer Society.

Their recent Instagram post read: “Daffodil day is a day that I personally fundraise and volunteer for each year.

“This year we are delighted to have our ‘daffs bib’ back in stock. It’s just gone online and €1 from every bib sold will go to @irishcancersociety .

“We will also have some pins on our stand at the @pregnancyandbabyfair in a few weeks so you can help us to support them there as well.

“It’s a beautiful bib. We’d love your support so please share this post.”

Each year the Irish Cancer Society plants thousands of daffodil flowers around Ireland.

Every one of them is inscribed with supporters’ messages of hope and remembrance.

The Irish Cancer Society said: “Every daffodil planted in our Garden of Hope is one more show of kindness to support people affected by cancer.”

You can donate to the organisation in many different ways this year.

Donate directly through your Revolut app in the donations hub or donate via the Instagram fundraiser on our profile page.

You can also text DAFFODIL to 50300 to donate €4. Irish Cancer Society will receive a minimum of €3.60.

Lastly, you can donate directly at Cancer.ie/donate.
