As day two of counting starts, here’s what we’re looking at thus far.

We’ll be waiting another day or two before all becomes clear with regards to who will be governing the country, but let’s get to grips with where we stand.

Counting in 20 of 40 constituencies have just resumed counts, and with just 95 of 158 seats filled so far, it’s still all to play for.

So far, Fine Gael has 28 seats, Fianna Fáil 28, Sinn Féin 13, Labour 4.

Anti-Austerity Alliance/People Before Profit have 4 so far, Social Democrats have 3, Greens have 1.

Independent Alliance are looking at 4, with ten other Independent TD’s with seats.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny was re-elected in the first count in Mayo, but remarked on disappointing results for Fine Gael.

However, he would not comment on any possible formations in the new Dáil, with Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil currently neck and neck.
